Kayak Guides Winter 2025/2026

We are seeking passionate and experienced Kayak Guides to join our team for the Winter 2025/2026 season.
  • Lead winter kayaking tours in the Vaxholm archipelago, primarily in English.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service and safety throughout tours.
  • Handle group sizes of 8–10 people.
  • Perform maintenance work on equipment and facilities as needed.
  • Proven experience in guiding sea kayaking tours.
  • Certification from EPP, BCU, or another recognized association (minimum level 2–3 stars or equivalent skills).
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Passion for kayaking, outdoor activities, and local history.
  • Strong leadership, safety judgment, and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for showing our guests the archipelago.
  • Communicative English.
  • Knowledge of other foreign languages will be an advantage (Swedish, German, French).
  • Driver’s license with the ability to drive a van towing a trailer is an advantage.

  • 1–2 days off per week.

Kayak Guides Summer 2025

We are looking for Sea Kayaking Leaders to guide half-day kayak tours and occasionally—depending on your experience and skills—overnight tours and kayaking courses.
  • Guiding daily full-day and half-day tours in the Vaxholm area.
  • Depending on experience:
    • Guiding and planning multi-day kayaking tours.
    • Instructing kayaking classes, including basic self-rescue techniques for guests.
  • Proven experience in guiding sea kayak tours in summer; outdoor cooking and overnight camping are a plus.
  • Certification from EPP, BCU, or another recognized association (minimum level of 2–3 stars or equivalent skills) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Passion for kayaking, outdoor activities, nature, wildlife, and history.
  • Local knowledge of Sweden and the Stockholm Archipelago.
  • Strong leader with good communication skills, safety judgment, and a positive attitude.
  • Communicative English (knowledge of other foreign languages—Swedish, German, French—is a plus).
  • A driver’s license is an advantage.

Outdoor Guides 2025

We are looking for Outdoor Guides who can take our guests on unforgettable adventures in the woods, on the water, or by bike.
  • Guide half-day and full-day outdoor adventures, including hiking, biking, and possibly kayaking tours, primarily in English and/or German.
  • Lead specialized experiences such as sunset kayaking tours, outdoor cooking sessions, wildlife explorations, or family-oriented trips, mostly conducted in English.
  • Share your knowledge and passion for Swedish wildlife, local history, and outdoor sports.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service to create unforgettable experiences for our guests.
  • Inspect and maintain gear and equipment (bikes, outdoor cooking gear, safety gear), ensuring everything is in safe and proper working order.
  • On quieter days, assist with tasks to support smooth operations at the center.
  • An outdoor guide certification or kayaking/biking certifications are a plus but not mandatory. We welcome both certified professionals and passionate enthusiasts in their fields.
  • Proven experience leading outdoor tours for guests is an advantage.
  • Passion for outdoor activities, Swedish wildlife, and local history.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Driver’s license and the ability to drive a van with a trailer.
  • Proficiency in English (knowledge of other languages, especially Swedish and/or German, is a plus).

Starting the adventure at our waterfront kayak base

Kayak Rental Support Summer 2025

Our kayak rental base is looking for motivated and positive individuals to help ensure our guests have the best possible start to their kayak or canoe adventures.
  • Meet and greet customers, providing safety and area briefings for daily rentals.
  • Prepare and hand out rental gear like kayaks and camping equipment.
  • Interest in outdoor activities and experience in kayaking, hiking, and/or outdoor camping activities is an advantage.
  • Work with our booking system on the computer (we will provide training) and hand out equipment according to the booking.
  • Check and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • On calmer days: perform maintenance work at the kayak center.
  • Perform simple cleaning tasks, keeping our base clean.
  • Half and full-time positions available from May until the end of September.
  • Experience in outdoor activities, including wild camping or multi-day adventures, is a plus.
  • Passion for kayaking and the ability to transmit that passion to our guests.
  • Willingness to paddle in the area to provide guests with the best tips on where to paddle.
  • Communicative English.
  • Knowledge of any other language (e.g., Swedish, German, French, Italian) is an advantage.
  • Weekend work is required.
  • Free personal use of kayaks during closing hours.
  • 1–2 days off per week.
