This is the advantage of going private: we can keep the pace relaxed, take extra photo stops, and focus on the scenery you enjoy most. Your guide will choose the best route based on weather and wind.
You might paddle along the shores of Resarö with views of Vaxholm Fortress, the historic Ytterby mine, and classic waterfront cottages — or explore the quieter waters near the Bogesund Nature Reserve, known for its calm and untouched beauty. Each route offers a different side of the archipelago, and your guide will make sure it feels right for your group.

About halfway through, we’ll land on a peaceful island for a proper Swedish fika: coffee and pastries in the middle of nature. If you feel like it, you can take a quick swim — or simply stretch out, relax, and enjoy the sea views.

After fika, we’ll paddle back toward the kayak center, often along a slightly different route to keep the views fresh and make the most of the area.
If you’ve added the sauna, you’ll finish with a classic Swedish finale: a traditional wood-fired sauna right by the sea — the perfect way to unwind after your time on the water.
Dress for the weather! We recommend comfortable outdoor clothing and a windproof jacket. We provide paddling jackets for extra warmth if needed. There’s a beach at the end where you can swim, so don’t forget your swimsuit and towel!
Absolutely! This tour is beginner-friendly, and your guide will give you a quick introduction before we start. The waters are calm, making it a great experience even for first-time paddlers. However, a moderate level of physical fitness is recommended.
We mainly use 2-person kayaks as they’re easy to paddle and perfect for most participants. If you’re paddling solo and have experience, you may be given a 1-person kayak. In case of an odd number of participants, we may pair up people to ensure everyone has a great experience. Our guide will assist with this! 😊
