Discover a traditional, idyllic archipelago island lined with small villages and well-preserved harbors. Fishing and farming are still practiced here, preserving the island’s authentic charm.
Möja lies where the mid-archipelago meets the outer-archipelago’s unique landscape. Large parts of this region are protected within the Storö-Bockö-Lökaö Nature Reserve, known as the “Möja Reserve.” Its meandering canals, narrow straits, and clusters of small islands make kayaking here an unforgettable experience.
People have lived on Möja since Viking times, and the island remains vibrant year-round. Wander through its historic villages, visit local harbors, and experience a way of life shaped by the sea for generations.
Freshwater is available at several points along the route, and a wood-fired sauna on the eastern side of Ostholmen is a perfect way to relax after a long day of paddling.
This route includes areas exposed to wind and open sea conditions, making it best suited for experienced paddlers. Plan your journey according to your skills and the weather forecast to ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure.
